Keith Hoggard
Guitar / Vocals
I grew up in Hodgenville, Ky. I have been around music and have played music most of my life. My father was a band director at LaRue County High School, the only school in the county. I began taking piano lessons in the 2nd grade (age 8). At age 12, I started playing guitar and trumpet. At age 14, my brother and a couple of friends formed a band, Herd, and played gigs throughout Kentucky for the next 11 years, including opening for the well-known Kentucky band, Exile, several times at the famous Club 68 in Lebanon, KY.
While I have always enjoyed playing music, it took a back seat for a few years after beginning a career in IT, marrying, and raising our 2 kids. Ten years ago I knocked the dust off my guitars and began playing them again. A year or so ago, I began looking for other talented musicians to play music with who have similar musical tastes and interests -- enter Taylor Creek Band.
